SYNOPSIS OF THE PLAY TO BE STAGED BY ASPEXS IN 2015

The central character Dibakar, in the play ‘Kone Bibhrat’, by Gautam Roy is a bachelor of 45. He is an affluent businessman. All on a sudden he decides to leave his trade and become a poet instead. He turns out to be a pathetic poet and his close friends, in order to bring him back to his old self, suggest that he get married. Dibakar laughs it off and announces that the person who finds the perfect match for him would be rewarded with a prize money of Rs 50,000. The announcement is followed by a frantic search by friends, family members and employees of Dibakar who come up with several matches for him. Each one of them threatens to ruin Dibakar if he rejects her. A hilarious sequence of events follows and on the final day all the wannabe wives appear together for the wedding. The bizarre sequence of events, the gut busting dialogues and the suspense regarding the fate of Dibakar will surely keep the audience glued to their seats till the very end (provided they do not fall off their seats laughing)!!
